Future Work: N/S Savannah

In a few weeks, our Calhoon M.E.B.A certified technicians will conduct high voltage work aboard the "N/S Savannah" The Savannah was the first ever nuclear powered merchant ship. She was built in the 1950's and is still considered today as one of the most visually impressive merchant ships ever built. She was a fast ship with incredible range. With her 20,000 horsepower nuclear engine her top speed was 23 knots. Savannah was capable of circling the earth 14 times at 20 knots without refueling. We will provide updates to this project as we prepare to remove six 400lb Isolation Transformers from throughout the boat.
