Furuno's DFF1 is a new network sounder featuring Furuno Digital Filter (FDF) Technology designed for use with NavNet and NavNet vx2. This new digital Network Sounder can turn any NavNet display into a powerful, dual-frequency digital fish finder. The compact network sounder unit connects directly to a NavNet display or an Ethernet hub with a single Ethernet cable. If it is connected to an Ethernet hub that has multiple displays attached, each of those displays will have access to the Network Sounder.
The sounder itself has a selectable 600W or 1kW output power. You may choose LF (50kHz), HF (200kHz) or both at the touch of a key and obtain detailed echoes of bottom structure and fish using range scales of up to 5,000 ft. And because the Network Sounder is used on a NavNet display, you will also be able to use its Radar and Chart Plotter features depending on which unit you have.

Fish Might Call It "The Triple Threat"!
Designed to operate over a wide range of frequencies utilizing a broadband transducer, the new TruEcho CHIRP-enabled network sounder DFF1-UHD delivers significant advancements in signal clarity and target definition. The clear presentation of the DFF1-UHD marks individual game fish and bait fish, even when tightly schooled together or very near the sea floor.
Benefits of CHIRP sounders:
Standard, non-CHIRP Fish Finders operate at one or two individual frequencies and are generally capable of detecting targets and displaying them only within those narrow frequency bands. CHIRP Fish Finders transmit pulses across a wide range of frequencies, allowing Furuno's superior digital signal processing (DSP) to display fish and structure targets with unparalleled clarity, accuracy and resolution.
Typical Non-CHIRP Fish Finders operate with a maximum duty cycle of 1% - meaning they transmit a voltage to the transducer no more than 1% of the time. Consequently the transmit pulse can be high power but very short duration, limiting the total energy that is transmitted into the water column.
The DFF1-UHD uses a precise sweep pattern across 90 frequencies (50 kHz +/- 20 kHz, 200 kHz +/- 25 kHz) within a long-duration transmission. The equivalent sound energy transmitted into the water is 10 to 1,000 times greater than a conventional Fish Finder, resulting in more energy on target. The results are up to 5x greater resolution and depth capability than comparably powered, standard Fish Finders due to the advanced signal processing of the return echo.
Furuno's DFF3 is a new network sounder featuring FDF (Furuno Digital Filter) signal processing technology. The DFF3 is designed for use with NavNet, NavNet vx2 and NavNet 3D.
The sounder itself has a selectable 1, 2 or 3kW output power. You may choose any two operating frequencies from 28 to 200kHz with FFS (Furuno Free Synthesis) technology. With the powerful DFF3, you can obtain detailed echoes of bottom structure and fish using range scales of up to 3,000 meters (nearly 10,000 feet). And because the Network Sounder is used on a NavNet display, you will also be able to use its Radar and Chart Plotter features depending on which unit you have.
The DFF3 is a direct replacement for the BBFF3 network sounder.
GCV™ 10 Scanning Sonar Module
Add SideVü/DownVü Scanning Sonar to Your Compatible Chartplotter
The GCV 10 scanning sonar module provides the clearest scanning sonar images on the water. It adds both SideVü and DownVü with CHIRP scanning sonar technologies to your compatible Garmin echoMAP or GPSMAP series combo as well as your GPSMAP 8000 Glass Helm series (see compatible devices). CHIRP technology sweeps through a range of frequencies to give you an ultra-clear sonar picture of objects, structure and fish that pass below (DownVü) and to the sides (SideVü) of the boat.
Together with your combo's HD-ID sonar, you get an excellent search and confirmation tool for advanced fishfinding in both fresh and saltwater.
In addition, the GCV 10 can coexist on the same network with other black box sonars. For example, if you currently have a GPSMAP 8000 Glass Helm, a GSD 24 advanced sonar module or a GSD 26 CHIRP professional sonar module on your Garmin Marine Network, you can greatly enhance your fishing capabilities by adding a GCV 10.
DownVü gives you a nearly photographic sonar view of structure and fish that pass below your boat. You can view DownVü scanning images in conjunction with SideVü and your HD-ID sonar, or CHIRP sonar images on the same screen.
An excellent tool for scoping out a fishing area quickly, SideVü provides a wide view of what lies off to either side of your boat. You see a crystal clear image that makes it easy to identify wrecks, structure, rocks and, yes, even the fish that are lurking next to them. You can view SideVü scanning images in conjunction with DownVü and your HD-ID sonar, or CHIRP sonar images on the same screen.
