The Award-Winning Digital Compass for Powerboats
The Azimuth 1000 combines a digital fluxgate compass and an LCD display into one compact, watertight unit. Ideal for all types of powerboats, the Azimuth 1000s large, heads-up display provides easy-to-read heading, compass rose, and off-course steering information. And with its standard NMEA 0183 output, you can send its precise heading data to other onboard equipment. No matter how fast your speed or how rough the seas, Azimuth 1000 keeps you steady on course!
HSC100 High Performance Fluxgate Sensor
Accurate compass heading data remains a fundamental parameter for marine navigation and the HSC100 uses fluxgate technology to deliver heading data for on board systems. Typical applications include enabling course up and true motion type displays on chart plotters, radar overlay onto electronic charts and stabilisation of radars when used for MARPA/ARPA target tracking. Integrated instrument systems can also benefit from having compass information to calculate real time tidal set and drift when interfaced with a log and GPS.
Furuno's PG500R is a rate compensated heading sensor that incorporates innovative electromagnetic compass technology for highly accurate and stable readouts of your ship's heading. These sophisticated components are contained within a rugged, compact case that protects against the elements at sea. Unique design elements make the PG500R virtually maintenance-free and easy to install.
The PG500R heading sensor detects terrestrial magnetism and produces compass data that can be utilized in NMEA0183 and Furuno AD10 formats. Typical applications include true radar echo trail and true motion, auto pilots, video plotters, scanning sonars and more.
We are excited to introduce our second generation Satellite Compass, the SC50, which utilizes Furunos advanced GPS Kinematic technology. Satellite Compass performance is not affected by ships speed, latitude, geomagnetism, etc. This hybrid integration of GPS receiver technology and a 3-axis solid-state rate sensor provide accurate and steady heading information, even when bridges or tall buildings block satellite signals. Unlike conventional magnetic and gyro compasses, accuracy is not affected by G-force or velocity. Furthermore, when compared to other GPS based compass systems incorporating only two antennas, our addition of a third GPS antenna provides enhanced accuracy while reducing the negative effects of pitch, roll, and yaw.
The SC50 offers highly accurate GPS WAAS Data for SOG, COG, ROT, and L/L. Multiple, programmable hi-speed heading data outputs allow you to send this information where you need it, and our unique Analog Pitch and Roll Output can be used to enhance your Furuno Sonar System.
This Satellite Compass is ideal as an alternative to a traditionally expensive and high-maintenance gyrocompass for non-compulsory vessels, as well as being the perfect back up solution to a gyro for a compulsory vessel. The SC50 offers a wide range of applications for providing fast, stable, precision heading information to numerous devices, including: Radar/ARPA, Satellite Communications & TV systems, Autopilots (based upon I/F type), AIS, ECDIS, Scanning Sonar, Chart Plotters, etc.
