Victron has seen dealers and installers grow their installation fleets, and some users are now in control of thousands of systems. VRM has added some new features and improvements, specifically for these large system fleet operators. The VRM dashboard is the nerve center of fleet operators’ operations. The ability to quickly locate the sites you want and access the data you need is critical. Keep reading to learn more about the features of this new update.
Map Enhancements
The map has been updated and improved to help manage many systems more efficiently. Users can now filter systems and view actionable information such as:
- Runtime Until Service: Displayed along with fuel tank levels.
- Warning and Alarm Information: Icons provide details about warnings and alarms and filter options to view sites based on their status.
- Expandable Site Clusters: Clusters of sites in the same location can now be expanded to reveal more details.
Users can access the map by clicking the globe icon in the top-right corner of the installation overview. The map also functions as a filter for the installation overview list. Zooming into a specific area will update the displayed systems accordingly.
The map’s display coordinates and selected tags are added to the URL, allowing you to bookmark specific regions. This feature is particularly useful for displaying various regions on fleet management screens in a control room or during routine inspections
Improved Alarm Systems
Victron has improved the warnings and alarms in the installation overview. You no longer need to click into a site to identify issues. Simply hover over an alert to view a pop-up message with more details. Clicking on the alarm will take you to the log for further information.
If the alarm comes with specific documentation (such as the MPPT and VE.Bus Error codes), you can click through for the description to see exactly what the alarm code means and find troubleshooting suggestions for clearing it.
Tags
Tags are an essential tool when managing large groups of systems. They are flexible and can be added to filter your installations. The options are virtually limitless and depend entirely on your team’s needs.
VRM automatically generates tags for a site when it is added to an installation group and when a linked installation is part of a team group. VRM also automatically applies tags if a site has an active alarm. Alarm tags are color-coded for increased visibility. Tag visibility can now be toggled on or off by type to reduce clutter, and tags are sorted alphabetically.
