Project Description:

This Post 42 was dated, and needed a serious upgrade as the new owner was going to use it for offshore fishing and tournament fishing. We did a complete electronics overhaul on this thing from radar to transducer, underwater lights to forward bunk TV. But the coolest thing about this project was the ability to see and control anything from anywhere. We installed the MFD’s on the bridge and a 100% custom compartment in the cockpit with a MFD and engine controls. But at the heart of this system is a high tech Matrix Switch and Ethernet hub which interconnects every device on the boat. It allowed the MFD screen to be viewed and controlled on the saloon 65” OLED TV as well as any of the bunk room TVs. It allowed the KVH TV to be displayed on the MFDs on the bridge and in the cockpit and FLIR and engine room cameras to be viewed anywhere also. If the owner was not near a screen (if that was even possible) you could view all the information from a tablet or phone. What is even better is everything was controlled independently, so you could have TV in a bunk room, Navigation displayed in the saloon, FLIR camera on the bridge MFDs. The Matrix was a really cool component of this system
